Our well established real estate client specialise in surveys and valuations of residential properties to support the sales and executory processes as well as Capital Gains Tax assessments. Recognising the importance of sustainability and energy efficiency in the built environment, our client also provide energy assessments and Energy Performance Certificates. Much of their work is within Edinburgh and South-East Scotland. Most of the client facing team are Chartered Surveyors and the organisation itself is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. This organisation employs Armed Forces Veterans within it's leadership team already so is very much Forces friendly.
About the role
Our client are actively seeking a Secretary to join their team in the Edinburgh office of the firm. You will be the first point of contact for many clients and will focus on supporting the Directors with the administrative side of their work. This will include audio dictation/typing and supporting the production of surveying reports. You will also support data management within the business ensuring both compliance with regulatory requirement and effective communication with clients. There will also be other general administrative duties within the office. The successful applicant will be required to provide a Basic Disclosure document.
About you
Our client want to recruit someone who has strong IT skills, and who has a proven ability to audio type. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent spelling and grammar. An effective and professional telephone manner is essential. You should be able to organise your workload effectively to take into account fluctuating workloads and changing priorities. Previous experience providing administrative support to a wide team is essential. An interest in the property/real estate sector is advantageous.
