ABOUT THE ROLE
The Client Services Manager (CSM) will be responsible for managing multiple, concurrent projects aligned to the delivery of customer consultancy and managed services engagements. You will lead and manage customer projects effectively to ensure that they meet all scope, time, budget and quality expectations through planning and control. You will be the key point of contact and present project overviews and updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Specifically you will:

Lead onboarding of new customers to our client's Managed Services, manage small to medium-sized projects from initiation to closure / handover, adhering to the project delivery processes.

Operate as the key, highly responsive point of contact and escalation for clients throughout our engagements with them.

Maintain close liaison and strong relationships with the customer and key stakeholders across the organisation in the operation of project delivery.

Schedule consulting resource in line with agreed plans for implementation and provide clear work instructions to those resources (internal or external 3rd parties) to facilitate smooth delivery.

Work closely with internal teams to ensure that project reporting deadlines are met, and project documents are updated accurately and reflect accurate status ensuring clear understanding of progress for open/live projects including:

Creation and ownership of project plans and RAID logs

Creation and ownership of any other project or programme related trackers used for reporting to key stakeholders both internally and externally

Follow up action logs where appropriate with project team members.

Use project scheduling and control tools to create and monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures for internal and external resource in order to track and monitor the progress and quality of work being performed and ensure projects delivered to time, cost and quality tolerances including the timely provision of any document deliverables.

Adhere to relevant escalation processes to escalate resource issues, delayed project phases, missed deadlines and other planning issues.

Ensure that project closure and / or acceptance into service criteria is met.

Participation in gateway / milestone reviews including post implementation reviews and lessons learnt to determine any corrective actions that could be taken to improve future programme/project delivery in terms of cost, quality and customer satisfaction.
This role is available on a hybrid basis with a need to work from Edinburgh from time to time.
ABOUT YOU
The role would be ideally suited to those with either (or both!) a service delivery and project management background. You’ll need to love working closely with clients and helping them realise their goals and will enjoy solving unique problems and challenges that really make a difference to our clients. You’ll need to be efficient, organised, have an eye for detail and have fantastic people skills.

Strong organisational and project management skills with a formal Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, PMP).

Experience of managing IT projects - ideally with Microsoft Cloud suite

Experience of working in a Cyber Security environment would be advantageous

Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentations)

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with customers and internal teams

Great general IT skills: Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, etc) and experience with Resource Management tools

A positive, professional, ‘can do’ and results-oriented attitude with the ability to meet operational and client needs
This role would suit someone who was previously a SNCO or above with experience running projects, either within the military or outside. An intelligence or comms background would be helpful but isn't essential.
