Our client are recruiting for and EC &I technician to join them team to support the delivery of planned preventative maintenance, installations, planned inspections, effective fault diagnosis and repair.
About the role
The EC&I technician will use technical expertise to undertake breakdown response, fault investigation, repair, maintenance and improvement works to a variety of equipment and installations. Much of the time, this role will be working outdoors, in all weather conditions, working both as part of a multi-disciplinary team and independently. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will need to participate in an out of hours standby rota as and when required. Specifically you will:

Produce recommendations to minor issues, undertake project design and leadership where appropriate

Provide inspection, monitoring and reporting on the condition of M&E assets

Safely and efficiently support the delivery of improvements to the network

Provide business administration support to ensure accurate documentation and recording of all maintenance activities and duties

Contribute to resource planning

Work effectively with your team, to ensure technical, health, safety and environmental performance
About you
Our client are looking for someone who has:

Recognised Apprenticeship (or similar level)
-
Minimum HNC (or similar level) in Electrical Engineering with measurement and control
-
Authorised Person in two the following areas: Electrical, Instrumentation & Control with Hydraulics desirable.

Experience working with Rotating machinery, valves, Electro Hydraulic systems, Various Instrumentation, Hydraulic power units, Fluid Pumps and PLC Control Systems

Good Communication Skills

Strong Health & Safety Awareness

Familiarity using Microsoft office packages.
Due to the nature of the role, a full driving license is required.
This role would suit a JNCO with an electrical engineering bias. Alongside salary, this role comes with a well rounded benefits package with 34 day holiday, rising to 39 after 5 year's service.
