Our client have been active in the industry for more than 70 years and are part of a global group who manufacture and test components for missiles, ejection seats, artillery, counter-measure systems, missiles and rockets amongst others.

About the role
Our client want to recruit 2 electricians to join their maintenance and facilities team for their factory. You will work safely on all types of equipment – Electrical, mechanical, hydraulics & pneumatics ensuring plant, production equipment, site services and facilities ensuring are all maintained to the highest level in order to minimise downtime. Your role will be to carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, diagnosis, reporting and tracking.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Respond promptly to plant downtime to maximise throughput.
- Repair and replace damaged equipment.
- Record work completed using CMMS
- Interrogate, fault find, and resolve equipment problems.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities and meetings.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Participate in projects as required.
In this role, you will be working day shift only, Mon-Fri.
About you

18th Edition BS 7671
-
Experience on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and plc-controlled manufacturing equipment

a comprehensive knowledge of electrical maintenance and fault diagnosis

Experience of HVAC, rolling mills, gearboxes, motors and pumps

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with quantifiable evidence

Attention to detail and concern for standards

Planning and organisational skills

Self-motivated with a strong production focus
It would be advantageous if you also had

Experience with controls and PLC

Experience in a high-paced manufacturing facility
