Our client are a specialist in telecoms infrastructure. They can support clients at every stage from pre-build planning, managing the build process and associated stage boundaries. Based in central Scotland, this family run business have a range of service offerings from electrical and electrical design, rigging, civils and DICI. Our client are are NICEIC, Cellnex, WIG, NATS & SAFECONTRACTOR approved. They are an Armed Forces Covenant signatory and already employ Veterans within their team and in leadership roles. They are keen to expand the number of Veterans and have asked us to support them do so. They are currently recruiting for qualified electricians to join their growing team.
About the role
As an electrician, you will work on installations and maintenance on mobile phone sites throughout Scotland and Northern England. Key tasks include:

Installing containment for AC and DC cabins

Installing AC and DC cabling

Testing and commissioning

Completion of job documentation and 18th Edition certification

Adhering to all risk assessments and method statements

Maintaining safe working environment by following codes, standards and legal regulations

Working at heights on rooftops and ground-based equipment cabins and platforms installing mobile telecommunications equipment
This role would require extensive travel across our client's AO of Scotland and northern England. As a result, there may be some nights required away from home.
About you
To be considered for this role you will need:

18th edition qualified electrician

Holder of a valid ECS card

Full, clean driving license
Previous experience working in telecoms would be helpful as would competence working in electrical AC/DC skills, back- up batteries and experienced in electrical testing skills. A CSCS card and Rooftop & RF awareness certification would also support your application.
For this role, you can expect to earn between £35K-£45K depending on experience and certification level. There are also great opportunities to progress into supervisory and leadership roles.
