Our client provide & maintain heavy plant vehicles & equipment to the construction sector. They have a strong reputation in the industry for the amount of and quality of their training and development for staff. This is a family owned and run business that has been operating for more than 50 years. Our client operate across the UK with the HQ in Scotland. Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting for a new IT Security Analyst. This is an exciting, newly created role for a team that wants to progress IT operations more widely and IT security specifically. We have already placed ex-Forces candidates with this client in various different roles and all are thriving.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting into the IT Infrastructure Manager, the IT Security Analyst will use industry standard security tools for threat analysis, threat reporting and monitoring. When required, you will produce policies and reports for management and wider IT team. Typical duties will include:

Dealing with security concerns and issues. When required escalate to management or wider IT team.

Drive forward security initiatives, always looking for continual improvement.

Be the security stakeholder on IT projects as well as inputting security standards and best practice across the IT team and the wider business.
ABOUT YOU
Our client are looking to employ someone who has at least 3 years experience in an IT security or information security role, ideally backed up by relevant qualifications and certifications. You should be able to demonstrate your knowledge of both IT security tools and best practice methodology. Our client are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator to many different types of people. You should be comfortable working to deadlines and supporting change projects. Experience working with Cyber Essentials would be advantageous.
This role would suit an experienced JNCO or SNCO from an Intelligence or communications background who has solid experience in threat identification, analysis and reporting.
For this role, you can expect a salary up to £45K. You'll also be eligible to join their bi-annual bonus scheme. Our client also have a fabulous health and wellbeing programme to support employees as well as extensive training and development opportunities.
