Our award winning client provide a range of maintenance services, cleanroom validation and HVAC services across the pharmaceutical, food & drink, engineering and manufacturing sectors. They build long-lasting relationships with their clients which means longer contracts and greater stability of employment for their team. They are currently recruiting for a maintenance engineer to join the team at a whisky maltings facility in Moray. You'll work with other Veterans both within the maintenance and management team.
About the role
As the maintenance supervisor, you will work closely with the Production and Commercial Managers to ensure that the production plant remains running efficiently and within the allocated budget. You will be expected to be pro-active in seeking ways to improve plant performance in line with wider priorities and targets. You will lead a team of maintenance techniciansThere will be an on-call element to this role which is compensated with overtime. To do this you will:
- Planning & Scheduling of Maintenance works in close co - operation with Production and Commercial Managers
- Motivate and lead the maintenance team to achieve their targets
- You will program and issue work orders to your team, ensuring you have the materials available through intelligent stock management.
- Manage all Health & Safety matters in the maintenance team including carrying out PPE audits of the team
- Monitor the time and attendance of all ESS Ltd. employees
- Provide a regular weekly report on the previous week’s activities and attend regular site meetings to report on progress
- Ensure service contracts are up to date and liaise with external vendors
- Manage other contractors on site in a maintenance capacity
About you

Have an electrical engineering qualification (NVQ L3 or above) combined with practical experience with modern maintenance management methods and techniques

Experienced in managing teams with proven ability to deal with employee relations / disciplinary matters within the team

Able to motivate, influence and coach your team the team on day to day technical and operations matters

Aptitude for process awareness, PLC control equipment and diagnostic / trouble-shooting experience gained in a Hi-volume environment

Responsible and positive person who embraces change and takes ownership for their team and plant

Familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems would be advantageous, as would COSHH awareness

Experience in a manufacturing and/or food/beverage setting would also be desirable
