Our award winning client is recruiting for a cyber security analyst to join their fast growing team. Our client are a managed security services provider (MSSP) providing Professional Security Services i the form of advisory, risk assessment and compliance solutions. They are Microsoft Gold Partners, and have Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) and CREST Accreditation. They have enjoyed exceptional growth during the last 18 months. ABOUT THE ROLE
The senior cyber security analyst is responsible for the monitoring of security incidents, classifying incidents and providing advice on mitigation or remedial actions to clients. You'll also be expected to mentor and support junior analysts within the team.
Additional daily tasks include:

providing threat and vulnerability analysis as well as security advice

monitor news services for relevant threat & vulnerability information that may impact our clients

join in compliance/vulnerability scanning and develop mitigation and follow up plans from the assessment findings

investigate, document and report on information security issues and emerging trends
This role works on a shift basis with a 3 shift system in operation for the team. Typically, your work pattern will include 3 shifts on 4 off.
ABOUT YOU

Either a degree in a related field or equivalent experience and knowledge

Knowledge of security methods and processes and technical security solutions (firewall, SIEM and intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, etc.)

Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications

An understanding of commonly used Internet protocols such as SMTP, HTTP, and DNS

Working knowledge of Python

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
