We're working with a small engineering manufacturing company who supply industries as wide ranging as Marine, Oil and Gas, Electronics, Renewable Energy Retail, MoD, Agriculture, Architectural Metalwork, Rail Travel, Power Generation and Aerospace. They provide CNC Machining, Laser cut precision sheet metal, Coded Welding/Fabrication, CMM inspection, In-house Powder and Wet painting, Shot-blasting and Assembly/Integration and Testing services. They support their clients in the design, fabrication, engineering and assembly of components.
They use the latest technology, in state of the facilities and have been involved in major, well known projects such as the Queensferry Crossing and BA Heathrow Terminal 5. Their client list is expanding but many of their client's are long-standing; a testament to the quality or work and excellent relationships they build.
About the role:
Our client are recruiting for an additional welder to join their team. You will typically be working on welding and fabrication of stainless steel boxes and enclosures using a mixture of Mid & Tig welding techniques.
The team work a compressed week of 39 hours, typically over 4 days (Mon-Thurs). However, overtime is available at 1.5 the normal hourly rate (£16.00 p.h).
About you:
Our client need someone who is qualified in welding, ideally with an apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.

As such, they are looking to recruit someone who has a good work ethic, who is comfortable moving in a fast paced environment and can think on their feet and take the initiative to support the company. As it's a small team, you may be asked to pitch into a wide range of activities, so flexibility and adaptability will be key.
